The 2016 D'Feet Breast Cancer "Celebration of Life" 5k/10K Run & Walk will be held at Moody Gardens Saturday, October 22nd, 2016.
Due to last minute change in the race route, Terminal Drive and Cessna Drive will have only one lane open. The streets affected for this event include Piper, Terminal Drive (south bound lane will remain open), Cessna (east bound lane will remain open) 83rd Street south of Cessna, and a portion of Stewart Road and Seawall Blvd for the 10K. These areas will be immediately reopened following the event.
For access to hangars/businesses: Airport Blvd or Cessna Drive to 83rd Street. You will turn right and go to the intersection of 83rd and Terminal Drive.
Flight Museum and North hangars: Terminal Drive to the Museum/hangar area.
Airport Terminal, PHI, South hangars, Fire Station 4, ATCT, ERA, RLC: South bound lane of Terminal Drive.
Galveston Police will be assisting motorists at the following intersections:
Airport Blvd/83rd
83rd/Terminal Drive
Terminal Drive/Airport Blvd
Terminal Drive/Cessna Drive
Cessna Drive/83rd
You may experience a short delay between 7:30am and 10:30am, depending on runner flow at the time. We do not anticipate this being the permanent route for this race.
