Biplanes will be flying into Galveston next month to commemorate the First Flight in Texas which occurred on February 18, 1910! The aim of this event is to raise awareness of the aviation history in Texas and help support a vintage biplane squadron! There will be all types of aircraft to see, from a WWI Sopwith Camel to newly built, modern biplanes. You can even ride in a WWII Stearman biplane! Entry is $5.00, all proceeds go towards the Biplane Squadron of Galveston.
