May 31 Hangar Ramp Construction Update

An update to our tenants about the construction project on the hangar ramp

1. Current Construction Zone as outlined in Yellow:

RAC is currently behind schedule in this area. They are working on the smaller patchwork areas, using the quick set patch material. We anticipate RAC will complete the work in this area by the end of day next Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

CAUTION is still needed in this area due to a few open areas in the concrete. These areas will be marked with lighted barricades, once this area is opened.

2. Current Construction Zone as outlined in Red:

RAC poured most of the concrete in this area on Friday, May 23rd. Tenants affected by this construction are located in Stan Humphrey’s Hangar 17, Units 6 - 10 located on the North Side and Hangar 18, Units 1 & 3, located on the North Side.

There are some areas that require small patchwork repairs done. RAC will start on the east end and work westward starting Monday, June 4th. As they finish the patchwork, they will open the ramp area. You can expect the areas in front of the hangars to start opening as early as June 3rd and completely open by June 8th.

Tenants will be able to use the access point on the east end of Hangar 18 to gain access to the taxiways and runways. Once the work is completed West of the hangars, this area will be opened and the access point will be closed. This is expected to happen by Friday, June 14th.

3. Green Construction Zone as outlined in Green:

Tenants affected by this construction are located on the North side of the Jenkins/Gould Hangar 19, Unit 1, Hangar 20, Units 1 & 3 and Hangar 21, Unit 4 and Mark Sands Hangar.

Starting Monday, June 3rd, RAC will begin removing the two north rows of concrete located nearest the North Perimeter Fence and will be working southward towards the hangars. We anticipate construction in this area to last three weeks. Should RAC stay on schedule, this area would open on June 24, 2019.

NOTE: During construction near your hangar, please do not drive your vehicle into the barricaded work zone. We also recommend you keep your hangar door closed, to help reduce dust in your hangar.
